Tulum To Cancun
Канада
Добавлен 9 окт 2006
TulumToCancun.com is created and run by a couple that enjoys taking vacations to the Riviera Maya every year. We live in a cold part of the world, so for a week or two each year, we get to escape the cold and enjoy a piece of paradise. We’ve visited Riviera Maya several times over the past few years, having stayed in different parts of the coast, in different types of accommodations. We particularly enjoy this part of Mexico due to the rich ancient history, incredible food, year-round warm climate, hospitable locals, and of course Tequila!
We created TulumToCancun.com to share our love and knowledge of Cancun and Riviera Maya with you. We hope you enjoy our content!

How long would you say it would take to do everything?
We did everything in just over 7 hours.
Could this possibly be okay for a 5 y/o?
The minimum age listed online is 5, and most activities have a height requirement of 3.6ft. The togobanxote has a higher height requirement of 4.2ft, so a 5 year old should be fine.
Awesome review. My family is plant based and even places that have vegan options usually do not have protein so I'd need to bring my own food. Do you know if they allow that? 2. any idea which days might be less crowded. Will be there the week of June 24th and my 5 year old doesn't have a ton of patience (working on that). I want to manage expectations on wait times and maybe we only do a couple activities. 3. How cold is the water?
Yes you can bring your own food. All days are busy as it’s a popular park. Just pay attention to the sign with the wait times, and pick your activities based on that. That’s my strategy, and I’ve never had to wait longer than a few minutes for any activity. Water is a bit cool, about the same as a swimming pool. You get used to it quickly.
I am 86 yrs old and walk with a cane. I enjoyed your video and am thinking about visiting this park. One concern I have are the zip lines, which I have done before in the Yucatan. Are these zips one long ride or are there a number of stations for a zipline ride ie last time I went we had around 7 stations getting off, climb above you, and hook up again, just to complete the ride. Please help if you can. Thank you
There are several towers that you have to climb. There are 7 towers in each circuit, if I recall correctly. There are plenty of stairs to climb throughout the circuit, and in some cases the stairs are the steep kind that you climb like a ladder. I hope that helps answer your question.
Thank very much
Hi sir . thank you so much for such detailed instructions. It will save a lot of time and help in planning our day . sir i have questions . I have go pro and insta 360 which mount will they allowed me to make videos .
A hands free mount that can attach to the helmet is allowed. I don’t know about 360 cams since they need to stick out a bit, you may not be able to use those on some activities.
Great review, thanks for sharing. Do they have taxi's outside of this park or do you need to book or walk to a specific location to get them?
They have taxis at the exit or nearby. If you dont see one, you can ask an employee and they’ll call one to come
Brill. Do you know if they accept card (contactless payments), peso or dollar in the taxi?
@@sonasp1961they’ll accept Mexican pesos and USD. If you want to pay by card, you have to ask upfront as some taxis don’t have the card reader. And there’s usually a small fee to pay by card.
I have a 11 year old boy, which is better xplor or xcaret? Also thank you very much for your video.
He should be able to participate in all the activities at both parks, so it depends on your preference. Xplor is a little more intense, Xcaret is a longer day of a lot of "low impact" attractions. I also have a video of Xcaret on my channel, have a look at both and decide which appeals to you more. Or if you can, do both!
Thank you for this video… what areas of the park would you absolutely not recommend for someone who cannot swim
The water slide tower can be a bit disorienting at the end, but it’s shallow water in the landing so there’s little risk. I don’t think there’s anything that would be a hard pass for those who can’t swim. Instead it depends on their comfort level in the water. For example if they have a fear of deep water, they may want to skip the river swim.
how much was the photo package? and is it per family or per person?
Check the Xplor website for photo package prices. There’s a small increase in cost for each person you want to add to the package.
I didn’t arrange the transportation with the park. Can you arrange a taxi from there at the end? I heard they have a list of prices in the last gift shop. Or do they have cans waiting? Thanks great video by the way 👍🏼
Yes they have taxis nearby ready to pick you up. Once you exit the gift shop, ask one of the park employees working at the exit to get a taxi for you. There’s a sign with the prices posted based on your destination.
@@TulumToCancun amazing thanks for your help! Subscribed 👍🏼
Thanks for the detailed description 🤙
Did you recommend uber?
Uber has had some opposition from the taxi union, and even though it’s legal now, it’s still a bit tough so I wouldn’t recommend it. I’d recommend a taxi or the colectivo, or buy the transportation option direct from the park when you buy your tickets.
Thank you, very much for your video 🎉
may I use some clips from your video for a vlog im making? I was there last week there and some footage ive taken gotten lost
Thanks for asking, as long as you’re just using a few short clips and you give me credit, then yes.
@@TulumToCancun I sure will, I appreciate you
Wow! I just found this and amazed--great job! I lived in Cancun for 6 months during the 1980's and stayed in a beach palapa at Xel Ha. We went scuba diving to 100 ft. just off the coast with locals--saw a giant grouper. They had a buffet but everything was rustic and native then. What incredible development. I want to return to see that place that I loved💜.
Great info. Thanks 🤙🏼
Hello, we’re heading to Riu Palace Costa Mujeres in July-August. Interested in buying this excursion for my family. I have two kids aged 9 and 13. Is there an age requirement/height and weight?
There are some requirements. I suggest you check their site to see the specific requirement of each activity.
Thank you for the video, very informative. I have a 1 year old baby. Can I take him on the tube ride?
The website doesn’t mention a minimum age but I personally wouldn’t recommend it. I’m not sure they have life jackets that small, and it’s a big and long river.
@@TulumToCancun thank you so much for your reply
are there fish in the cave where you swim? i want to visit but my partner is terrified of swimming with fish!
No there aren’t any fish in the caves.
Do you need to bring snorkeling gear of they provide you ?
They provide the snorkel gear
I was there and did the activities you covered, it was great even jumping off the cliff! Your review is spot on!! Thank you🤙
Finally a quick video with detail and pricing packages. Thank you. Who needs a 40 min video of some couple's vacation..lol
Thanks! As annoying as they are, Im having a tough time competing with those videos sadly. 😅
loved it
Can you visit xenotes without having to get into the water?
Yea you can follow the group along in every cenote without having to get into the water, you may be missing out on the fun, but it’s possible.

Love the animatronics
How long did it take you to cover the whole park? I’m going for my honeymoon in 3 weeks and having a hard time figuring out how to plan our days.
It takes a whole day if you want to do everything, so expect to be there from 9AM-5PM.
Hi ! Thanks for your video, in how many time did you did all the activities?
We were there from around 10am to 5pm
Awesome video! I’m visiting for my honeymoon in 3 weeks and trying to plan out our days. Xavage seems fun but looking at the videos not as beautiful as the other parks( darker water, lots of strenuous activities). I might skip that this visit as well as Xenses. What parks do you recommend overall after having visited? Xel-ha, xcaret, xenotes tour are a must. Did you get to do tours like chichen-itza or the ferry to isla las mujeres ? I am interested in the xenotes tour also but would like to know if it’s an additional cost to hotel xcaret guests since all my park admissions are included. We are visiting during dia de Los muertos so I think hitting the festival would be fun too. Is xoximilco worth it? We aren’t big dancers lol. What parks have best/worst food in your opinion? We love Mexican food, not big on American burgers/fries etc. Sorry so many questions, lol thanks!
@@Jennifer-ir6fu I'd rank Xplor & Xel-Ha as tied for top 2. Xcaret is amazing, but it's better for families IMO so that comes right after. Xenotes was a great tour as well, definitely recommended. I've done the other tours you mentioned though a smaller/independent tour providers. The Hotel Xcaret website has a list of the included parks & tours if you'd like to see the full list. If you're already doing Xplor, you'd be wise to leave out Xavage if it looks too intense for you.
So does this come with the all inclusive package at xcaret hotel or do i still have to buy a ticket
Yes, a stay at hotel Xcaret includes access to Xavage.
Can i pick and choose what i do
Yes 👍🏼
can you bring your own snacks?
You can’t bring food into the park, but I didn’t see them enforcing that rule too much so you’ll probably get away with a few small snacks. You can also re-enter the park, so if you drove, you can keep food in your car and have a quick lunch in the parking lot.
So staying at Xcarte arte includes all of this or do you still need to buy those admission tickets for certain activities at this park?
Staying at Hotel Xcaret gets you free admission to all their parks, including Xavage.
More over, does it include access to the rafting & speed boat? Or that would be extra?@@TulumToCancun
@@EternityGamesVidsall the activities at Xavage are included, so yes.
Thanks for the video. What do u think 3 hours can do best in Xel-Ha? I am thinkinh of cruise tour including Tulum ruins and Xel-ha. Not much time i know , I just try to make the best of it
Is it 3 hours for the Xel-Ha visit? I’d imagine you can do some of the highlights within that time period, but it would definitely be a bit rushed.
15 yrs ago you commented on youtubes video, pretty cool that your still active.
Haha that comment has been getting a lot of attention lately. That’s for visiting and your comment 👊🏼
Great video & explanation of the park. I loved Xcaret and recommend it.
Thanks!
I went and got eaten by a shark. I lived, but it wasn't that great. The people were nice though!
How long was the wait for the activities?
The only time we had to wait was for the monster truck, and that took about 10 minutes. We didn’t have to wait for any of the other activities.
Thank you for the video very helpful. I am headed here in 3 days with my kids and this video was very informative
Awesome, enjoy your visit! I can’t wait to take my family here when the kids are older.
Im visiting all the xcaret parks in a month, your videos had been very informative.
That’s awesome! Are you staying at Hotel Xcaret or just visiting all the parks?
which go pro did you have? and is it easy to attach to park helmet?
I had a hero 5 for this visit, but I’ve returned since with a larger camera and it fit fine. Just bring your own mounts.
Hello! I want to talk with you.
Thank you we just went just wondering how do you get the photos and video off the site ?
If you bought the photo package, there will be a link and a code on your receipt.
Wow it looked cool
It was awesome, I thought it would be like the other parks but I was pleasantly surprised.
Thanks for the detailed yet succint video! How to find out which lunch buffets are included with the Plus ticket?
The a la carte restaurants and the night show dinner cost extra, otherwise the buffets are available for Plus ticket holders.
Can you post a picture of the map of the park. It would be nice to review it before going. Thanks
I can’t post it on RUclips but if you check my site or the official Xcaret site they have a high resolution map that you can download. They also have an app.
" Claro, Me Gusta ! "👍🏻
can you stay at the park or you need to rent a hotel?
The park doesn't have accommodations, you'll need to book a hotel or resort. Occidental at Xcaret or Hotel Xcaret are right next to the park though.
Beautiful place
Thanks for this detailed review!! Much appreciated. Thinking to do this in a few days!
Does the price include the jeeps? or is that extra?
Yes, tickets include all the activities.
@@TulumToCancun Thank you so much for your reply. It was an excellent video. I got a lot out of this video. I can't wait! My twins are going to have a blast! Do you have to have a driver's license or can the 15-year-old drive the Jeep. How many people can fit in the jeep? It will just be my twins and me.
@@nicoleyap6070 the ATVs fit up to 4 people. If you look old enough, they usually won’t ask for ID, so if you’re driving, you’ll all be fine. I don’t know if they’d let the kids drive though, unless let have a driver’s license.
